On 1 June 2021, Dio Living opened its first showroom at Pondok Indah Mall 2 (PIM 2) in June 2021, marking the official launch of the brand. At a time when homes were becoming more central to people’s lives due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dio Living entered the scene with a clear purpose: to provide design-forward, functional furniture that enhances the way people live, work, and relax at home.
The showroom’s launch introduced three signature collections—Tabanan, Minahasa, and Musi Banyuasin—each designed by a rising Indonesian talent with a deep understanding of local culture and lifestyle needs.
The Tabanan Collection, designed by Cynthia Budijono, features natural materials, soft curves, and a warm palette inspired by the serene landscapes of Bali. Eugenio Hendro’s Minahasa Collection draws from North Sulawesi’s rich heritage, incorporating layered textures and architectural forms to create pieces that are both grounded and contemporary. Meanwhile, the Musi Banyuasin Collection, crafted by Hendro Hadinata, reflects the elegance and utility of South Sumatran design with clean lines, subtle detailing, and practical proportions.
These three up-and-coming Indonesian designers exemplify the future of local design. Their collections encapsulate the evolving tastes and living habits of the Indonesian market, blending cultural identity with global design sensibilities.
Designed as an immersive space, the PIM 2 showroom allowed visitors to experience Dio Living’s unique approach to furniture firsthand—through curated room settings, tactile materials, and thoughtful details. It wasn’t just a retail space—it was a statement of intent: to redefine how Indonesia shops for and experiences furniture.
This opening laid the foundation for Dio Living’s journey as a brand rooted in creativity, comfort, and cultural relevance. Visit our store to experience our products in person.
