In celebration of Indonesian creativity and craftsmanship, Dio Living collaborated with Kandura Studio to host a hands-on pottery painting workshop on 21 April 2022 at its Senayan City Flagship Store. Themed “Melukis Keunikkan Nusantara” (Painting the Uniqueness of the Archipelago), the event invited participants to explore traditional Indonesian techniques while expressing their personal interpretation of the nation’s cultural richness through ceramics.
The workshop was open to the public and designed for both beginners and hobbyists who wanted to immerse themselves in a creative, culturally inspired experience. Under the guidance of expert potters from Kandura Studio, attendees learned various hand-painting methods using natural pigments and motifs rooted in Indonesia’s visual heritage—from traditional batik-inspired patterns to abstract forms representing local flora and fauna.
Participants were encouraged to create freely, and each pottery piece became a personal expression of national pride. Best of all, everyone was able to bring home their own uniquely painted pottery item—a meaningful keepsake that captured the spirit of the day.
The event not only reflected Dio Living’s commitment to celebrating Indonesian artistry, but also created a warm, interactive environment where guests could engage with the brand beyond furniture. It served as a creative extension of Dio Living’s core mission: to bring the richness of Indonesia’s culture into everyday living, one handcrafted piece at a time.
Events like these are part of Dio Living’s ongoing efforts to build a lifestyle brand rooted in heritage, design, and community. Through meaningful collaborations with local creatives, Dio Living continues to connect people with the stories behind the products—and with the deeper beauty of Indonesia itself.
